The Future of Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, and American Men’s Tennis — 4 Comments

  1. I am a huge fan of Roger Federer. I have been watching his play for more than 10 years, and I want to continue enjoying his game. Frankly, I really think that he is only a tennis genius. But soon or later any great athlete retires. I don’t know if Roger can repeat Nadal’s success and return to the top. Anyway, for me Federer is Greatest of All Time.

  2. In regards to Roger, my thoughts are very simple, we are all very lucky to have watched one of if not the greatest do what he has done. We should all hope to continue to watch him play as long as he wants and loves to plays. Why does everyone spend so much time questioning him? Everyone gets older, everyone stops at some point. The only thing that really matters is that Roger loves playing, wants to, and continues to. At this point regardless of whether he is #1 or #7 is irrelevant.

  3. You know why USA tennis is in deep crisis? MONEY is the answer..
I live in South Florida and i have a kid with a lot of potential but guess what? Training cost: Average $700.00 a month, plus gas to take him to training, raquets, strings,…
Junior tournaments: $50.00 dollars average just to sign in without meals, gas ,snacks, etc, etc.
$50.00 dollars for a junior tournament? that is ridiculous.
Tennis has become a big businesses for junior tournaments in Florida and what about lack of facilities with good tennis courts.

    • I agree with you. Cost for developing a tennis player is very high. In Europe most tennis federations help their talented kids. May be USTA Player Development can help you; they have more than 30 million dollars annual budget.
