They also understand that what some might regard as the ‘small things’ like warm up’s, stretching, icing, post practice protein shakes, getting an afternoon nap, arriving early to training – are actually the things that add up to the big successes later.
Athletic success is found in developing consistent daily routines and habits. The time you wake up, the time you arrive at practice, the warm up routine you perform, the nap you take at a certain time, etc..
No, It’s not the hard training that most athletes find the most difficult, it’s the repetition and sticking to doing all the small things that matter ..over and over.
