Who will win The 2016 Australian Open?
Yesterday we were discussing the 2016 Australian Open and new tennis season with a high qualified tennis coach.
Rafael Nadal lost in the first round. Do you think he is still able to play on his previous level?
Rafael Nadal can still win majors, but I think he is on a downward slope. You don’t grow new joints.
Who is the favorite to win the Australian Open this year? Does anyone outside the big three have a chance?
Novak Djokovic is probably favored, but any of the big three – Roger Federer and Andy Murray – can win. Also, Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori can beat one of the big three, but not three in a row.
Do you think Serena Williams will continue her successful career in the upcoming season? Who are the main probable candidates to win the Australian Open on the women’s side?
Serena Williams will be the player to beat as long as she maintains her drive. Athletically she has no competition. But don’t overlook Vika Azarenka or Maria Sharapova if Serena Williams falters.
Can one of the American players reach the top five? Will Isner, Jonhson or Sock be able to do that in 1-3 years?
It is very difficult. May be Jack Sock can do that. He is the first American male or female that I have thought could do this since I saw Andy Roddick at nineteen.
