Let’s start with this: More than 90% of New Years Resolutions don’t make it past January!
Here are 10 reasons why people fail:
1. They try go from an F to an A+ in one week.
2. They set expectations that are not realistic. Goals that are not sustainable in the long run.
3. They fail to see that extrinsic motivation doesn’t last. They purchase things like new training shoes, a gym contract etc..
4. They lack the discipline and begin to search for short cuts.
5. They seek Instant gratification. They believe in the false advertising and success stories in the media.
6. They start to find excuses to why they miss workouts or begin to eat poorly.
7. They blame their genetics, metabolism or other things when they don’t see progress fast enough.
8. They are impatient and give up too soon.
9. They don’t see it as a way of life, but rather a goal.
10. They are not comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Rather set your standards first, instead of set your goals. It’s should be a lifestyle, not a quick fix.
